What is Mendini by Cecilio?

What is Mendini by Cecilio?

Before we look at the Mendini range of musical instruments, let’s look at the Cecilio musical instruments company. The company was founded 18 years ago in 2004. The company’s founders were inspired to start manufacturing instruments that they could sell at affordable prices. Their inspiration stemmed from overhearing a young child’s parents talk about being unable to afford a brand new violin for their daughter’s music class.

Ever since the founders overheard that conversation, they have strived to sell high-quality and affordable musical instruments to people that need them most. They consulted with professional musicians and music teachers to develop a line of products that help young students and music lovers become inspired to create music

The brand sells woodwind, fretted, percussion, string, and brass instruments. They also sell microphones and accessories!

Why should you buy it?

Mendini By Cecilio Violin For Kids & Adults - 4/4 MV300 Satin Antique, Student or Beginners Kit w/Case, Bow, Extra Strings, Tuner, Lesson Book - Stringed Musical Instruments

As mentioned in the introduction, we will focus on the violins under the Mendini by Cecilio range. After doing a substantial amount of research, we have discovered that just like us, musicians and students of music all over the world appreciate the affordability and quality of these violins.

We received our violin four days after ordering one of the beginner violin kits online, and thankfully, it arrived without any damage. We didn’t pop the strings, choosing to tighten them evenly instead. It’s worth noting that the violin we ordered is a beginner’s violin. We were pleasantly surprised by how affordable it is!

The quality of the bow was quite good, and thankfully, it didn’t have any hair sticking out. The shoulder rest was comfortable, and overall, we loved how solidly-built the violin is.

In order words, you should buy these instruments because of their high quality, impeccable structure, and how easy they are to purchase online and in stores.

Cecilio vs. Mendini

When it comes to choosing between a Cecilio violin or a Mendini violin, you might have some trouble figuring out which one would suit you better. Therefore, it would be best to take into consideration some of the following factors before making your decision.

Here’s a list of the factors to consider when comparing Cecilio with Mendini.

The size of the violins

The size of the violins

In terms of size, it is essential to know that the two product ranges offer violinists a variety of sizes to choose from. Most violins come in different sizes, which are ¾,4/4, and ½. Depending on your height and size, you need to select the size that best fits your body and the length of your arm.

When it comes to Mendini, there are violins in four different sizes, while Cecilio has every size to suit players of different ages, heights, and sizes.

The quality of sound

The quality of sound

One of the most important factors to consider when buying any musical instrument is to think about the way it sounds! Since Cecilio manufactures violins and other instruments that cost much less than other instruments available on the market, it might surprise you to know that these instruments sound lovely. Whether you choose a Mendini or Cecilio violin, please remember that both violins have a pure, rich, and warm sound. You cannot go wrong with either violin in terms of this factor.

The structure and quality of the violin.

Regarding the violin’s quality and structure, it’s important to note that the violin must be well-built and structured correctly to withstand multiple hours of practice while also looking good when performing on stage. Therefore, please remember that quality doesn’t only refer to how good the violin looks!

When examining the Mendini violins, we learned that they are mass-produced in a factory. This means that they lack the care and attention that hand-made violins get when they are made one at a time, so that you might find minor issues throughout the body of the violin. However, it is worth noting that even though these violins are produced in a factory, the sound they make is warm and rich.

On the other hand, the Cecilio violins are much more expensive. This is because, unlike their more expensive counterparts, they are made by hand from hardwood that is of a much higher quality than the wood Mendini violins are made from.

Therefore, we would recommend Cecilio if you have a larger budget or you want a high-quality violin. On the other hand, if you’re just starting out as a violinist and don’t want to spend too much money on an instrument, then Mendini is the way to go.

The number of available colors

While the color of a violin doesn’t have any effect on the sound it produces, you might be interested in purchasing a violin for a child or someone who enjoys bright colors.

Mendini violins come in the usual shades of brown, as well as pink and blue! If you have a son or daughter that doesn’t want an ordinary brown violin, then they have a couple of other colors to choose from as well.

On the other hand, Cecilio violins are available only in shades of brown. If you or any children you know do not have a problem with this color, then you’re going to love these violins anyway!
