In fact, the standard mic stand bracket that comes with the AT2020 mic has a built-in 3/8 adapter installed in the bracket itself. If the mic stand you bought is utilized the 5/8” thread screw, just remove the built-in 3/8” adapter. And it will be compatible with the AT2020 mic stand bracket without any problem at all.
Mic Set Ups:
The mic setups for AT2020 other than the mic stand include the pop filter, and it’s compatible shock mount. The standard mic stand bracket works fine if you merely add a pop-filter. But, the real problem emerges when you choose to add a shock mount on your AT2020 mic. You have to ensure that the thread screw mount of the shock mount is compatible with the mic stand you bought. Otherwise, you will need an additional adapter.
