Carrie Underwood American country singer was born in March 1983 at Muskogee, Oklahoma. Apart from being a popular singer, she’s also a songwriter who was catapulted to the limelight when she won the 4th season of the famous TV program, American Idol. With her parents, Stephen and Carole, she was brought-up in a rural town located in Checotah, Oklahoma.
Her 2 older sisters are Stephanie Shelton and Shanna Means. Her parents were a sawmill worker and an elementary teacher respectively. During her youth, Carrie used to perform at Robbins Talent Show, and at the same time, sang in the Baptist Church. Later, she also performed for local events within the community of Checotah that included the Lion’s Club and Old Settler’s Day.
